Unpub Preview: Sky Castle

As we move towards upcoming Unpub events we’re going to preview some of the games which will be exhibited.

Everybody loves a little adventure, so Bryan Edds is going to bring his Adventure Strategy game Sky Castle to the Unpub Mini at Epic Loot Games and Comics on Saturday March 30, 2013!  As Bryan states best in his game description:  "Sky Castle is a 2-player ‘Adventure Strategy Game’ that puts the elements and feel of classic games like Final Fantasy and Zelda into a simple, immersive, and fast-paced board game."

Fast paced? Well, let's get down to his other words about this game and it's development...

What was your inspiration for Sky Castle? Final Fantasy, Zelda, and other JRPGs.

What is your favorite part of Sky Castle? The risk-taking aspects.

To your knowledge, What do other people find most interesting about Sky Castle? It's quite reminiscent of the JRPG's we all grew up with.

What has been the most challenging part of designing Sky Castle? Balancing each player's asymmetrical abilities.

What advice would you give to players attempting Sky Castle for the first time?Read the instructions closely.

What has surprised you most in play-tests of Sky Castle? How much fun my testers have!

People who like___________ will like Sky Castle. Why? JRPG's and old-school video games.

What do you hope to accomplish at the  Unpub Mini at Epic Loot Games and Comics on Saturday March 30, 2013 from 11am to 5pm?   Get feedback on mechanics and presentation, esp. from other designers.
