The Feedback Frenzy "judges" were Julie Ahern of Van Ryder Games, Mik and Starla of Our Family Plays Games, and Ben Begeal aka the mayor of UNPUB.

Ten talented and brave designers showed us their games - Glenn Cotter, Kerwyn Velasco, Sabrina Culyba, William Augustus Griffin Sr., Xoe Allred, Bill Lasek, Gene Koo, John Bucciarelli, Michael Roberts, and Josh Robinson. Watch the full event HERE

The Nonepub Game Jam

Designers had just under 48 hours to work on a game with the theme "The Seasons" which must include building but can't include any written numbers. After the jam ended Ben Begeal hosted a Game Jam discussion with some of the designers who participated.

We kicked off the event Friday night with our annual Welcome to Nonepub panel run by the Unpub Board. This year we had Ben Begeal, Heather O'Neill, and Kellen Freeman. We also announced the Game Jam parameters.

F**K 2022, as Well was a talk about getting through 2022 featuring Carla Kopp, Avonelle Wing, Jamie Kraus, and Eric Yurko.

Bryan Bornmueller of Office Dog, a division of Asmodee, told us about Ten Foolproof tips to get a publisher to NOT to sign your game.

Next up was the Co-designing: A case for cooperation, collaboration, and quibbling panel featuring a group that has worked on games together; David Gordon, Jonathan Gilmour, and Tam Myaing.

Arthur Franz IV did a deep dive into designing AI in games with his Table For One: Building a Competitive Paper-Based AI panel.

The Online Convention: A (Possibly Premature) Post-Mortem panel featured Steve Dee, Beth Rimmels, and Avonelle Wing.

Steve Dee was up again with The Ten Worst Lessons I’ve Been Given in Game Design.

Sunday morning Michael Schoonmaker made pancakes and discussed game design during the Nonepub Breakfast Gathering.

Games for More than Fun - Designing Board Games for Applied Use by Jack Berkenstock listed elements of games that have educational, therapeutic, and social benefits.

Capping off the panels was the Game Jams and Contests: Why They’re AWESOME panel featuring Beth Jackson, Angel Drummond, Xoe Allred, and Rochelle Boggs. Just in time for the end of the Nonepub Game Jam.
