Unpub Preview: Roman Conquest
As we move towards upcoming Unpub events we’re going to preview some of the games which will be exhibited.
Roman Conquest was first presented at Atomic Empire in Durham, NC on Saturday, March 2, 2013. This game, by designer Josh Young, will be featured at the Collector's Con Unpub ProtoZone on Saturday May 11, 2013 from 10am to 7pm!

What was your inspiration for Roman Conquest ? Wife.
What is your favorite part of Roman Conquest? Multiple paths to victory.
To your knowledge, What do other people find most interesting about Roman Conquest? Stealing other peoples towns/senators
What has been the most challenging part of designing Roman Conquest? Balancing the costs of the buildings, and the legions required for conquest.
What advice would you give to players attempting Roman Conquest for the first time? Be aware that if you don't upgrade your towns to cities another player could do so and swipe them from you.
What has surprised you most in play-tests of Roman Conquest? Gold is way easier to get than I thought it would be.
People who like_____will like Roman Conquest. Why? It is more complicated than Settlers of Catan, and their are more ways you can slow down your opponents, but both games require you to utilize your resources well.
What do you hope to accomplish at the Collector's Con Unpub ProtoZone on Saturday May 11, 2013 from 10am to 7pm? Finishing the balancing of the different parts of the game.
