The People

Unpub is for everyone.

The Unpub Network has been developed to serve all five component parts of the tabletop game industry. Think of it like a pentagon…

How Can We Help You?

We are going to find a way to get your game played by players who can give you feedback and help you make your game better. We’re going to try and get events happening in your area so you can meet players and other designers you can build bonds with and make better games with. We’re doing our best to increase the structure of our presence at conventions to have strength in numbers and always have players playing prototypes. We can connect you with artists, colleagues, reviewers and sometimes publishers.  We catalog the feedback people give for your game and make that available to publishers who are interested in your game. We use our resources to promote your game, follow your progress and let others know where to find you. We do this and we’re going to do more. Go to the Designer page to find out more!

For publishers we offer players interested in play-testing your upcoming games. We help you connect with young designers and artists looking to make their way into the business, people with good products waiting to be seen. We organize events that can help get your games more exposure. We allow you the ability to see new games as they progress, improve, and find their way into publication.  Go to the Publisher page to find out more!

“Attending Unpub was an invaluable experience.  As a designer it was a tremendous opportunity to showcase my game and receive quality feedback from a large number of gamers and other designers in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.  I also had a great time playing other new and interesting games and providing feedback to other designers.  Unpub is a fantastic and well-organized event that I plan on attending regularly. I highly recommend it to any gamer or game designer. –Jesse Catron designer of Salmon Run.

We are going to get new, unique prototypes in front of you to play. We’re going to give you opportunities to play new games with the designers. We want you to talk openly and honestly about your experiences with the games with the people who made them. Your feelings and feedback are important. We will organize events for you, to let you experience as many new games as possible. All we ask is that you give us feedback. We also have a play-tester program that might bring games to your door! Find out more on our Player’s page.

We plan and organize unique events that bring new games and new designers to your stores. We strengthen local communities by helping to bring designers who need an audience to your stores. We are developing several options to bring the buzz to your stores. These are new games that will one day be hitting the store shelves. We want to help you bring people into your store by bringing  extraordinary events to your doorstep. Find out more on our Retailer page!

We continue to develop programs for Artists and Graphic Designers. They are always welcome to attend any event and speak with designers, bring and distribute business cards, and join in the development of games. Bring your portfolio and show it off.  Unpub3 will offer an Artists Ally. The reality is that most publishers will replace the art once a game has been licensed to them and many designers at this level can’t afford to pay artists and graphic designers. …However, with Kickstarter gaining in popularity some designers are choosing to go that route without an actual publisher and may be looking for someone with your talents. Find out more on our Artists page!
