Faulty MapsDesigned by: Tim Armstrong
Faulty Maps is a light strategy game for 3-5 players that utilizes betting and program movement (think Cheaty Mages combined with Robo Rally). The game takes place on an island where four pirates are searching for buried treasure. Players don't plays as the pirates but instead bet on which pirate will get the closest to 'X marks the spot.' Once bets are placed, players take turns building each pirate's treasure map by placing movement cards face down. Players can place movement cards to helpfully guide the pirate they are betting on, but players also have the option to place unhelpful cards on the competing pirates to lead them astray. Once all the maps are built, the pirates execute their directions. Ultimately chaos ensues as carefully laid plans go awry and pirates wander haphazardly though the island, pushing each other and falling into traps. Once the dust settles, bets are resolved and coins are collected. The player with the most amount of coins at the end of three rounds wins.
