Earth was uninhabitable.
After years of pollution, overpopulation and war, humanity was on the brink of self-annihilation. Mankind looked to the stars for salvation.
Several factions banded together and launched massive starships into the void. The ships travelled for generations through the darkness, finally arriving at a world, not unlike our own.
The planet, named Eco, was rich in mineral wealth but utterly devoid of organic life, and lacking an atmosphere.
We began the process of planetary engineering. We began to terraform it.
Ecopoiesis, a term for the artificial creation of an ecosystem on a lifeless planet, is a sci-fi strategy game about humanity inhabiting and developing a new planet. You play as one of four factions attempting to colonize and terraform the new world to make it habitable for human life.
Defend and expand your territory. Research new technologies. Manipulate and persuade friend and foe alike. Your faction struggles to develop the atmospheric conditions of the new planet and vies for influence through political, scientific and military conquests. The faction with the most advanced civilization when the planet becomes sustainable wins!
